The film is based on a true yet unsolved murder case from the early 1990s that is known among Koreans as the "disappearance of the frog boys". In 1991, five elementary school students told their parents that they were going to hang out on a nearby mountain to catch frogs. They never came back.
Children (a.k.a. Children...) keeps you involved from start to finish thanks to the constant suspense. Everything from acting to directing just screams of quality, and the ending makes a huge emotional impact when you've heard it's based on true events. A mystery thriller that's almost as good as they come.
