After failing to kill himself by jumping off a bridge, the man is washed up on a deserted island in the middle of the river, but within view of the city's high-rises. He attempts to escape, but soon accepts his fate and the challenges in living on the island.
Castaway on the Moon came as a real surprise and made me wonder how on earth I hadn't seen it sooner. The film has a perfect balance between it's quite sad side and it's humor. In other words, there's a lot of funny scenes but everything has a dark undertone. Definitely give it a watch, it's worth it.
